¡Feliz día de los padres! Hoy nos despertamos temprano porque fuimos a Guanajuato, una ciudad no muy lejos de aquí.  Es la capital del estado de Guanajuato donde está San Miguel de Allende.  La ciudad está entre las montañas bonitas.  Cuando llegamos a Guanajuato, vimos una vista panorámica de la ciudad.  Era muy bonita.  

Caminamos por las calles para llegar al mercado que tiene especias y comida.  Sin embargo, dos de nosotros salimos de allí con playeras para mujeres con el diseño de Frida Kahlo. 

Luego, caminamos al museo de purgatorio mientras pasábamos por las partes históricas de la ciudad.  Vimos celdas de tortura e instrumentos de tortura.  Nos gustó el potro de tortura también.  Había muchos instrumentos de tortura de la época de la Inquisición.  Fue un viaje muy divertido.  Luego, cuando regresamos a San Miguel, salimos al parque y jugamos al fútbol con nuestros amigos nuevos, Raúl, Francisco y Josué.

Happy Father’s Day!  Today we woke up early because we went to Guanajuato, a city not too far away from here.  It is the capital of the state of Guanajuato where San Miguel is located.  The city is in a valley surrounded by beautiful mountains. 

When we arrived to Guanajuato, we were greeted by a beautiful panoramic view of the entire city.  We walked through the streets and alleys to reach the market, which was mostly comprised of spices and foods.  However, two of us walked out wearing women’s Frida Kahlo tank tops.  We then ventured to the purgatory museum while viewing the historic parts of Guanajuato. 

Inside the museum, we saw and experienced the rigs, chambers and torture racks.  There were many torture instruments used during the Inquisition.  It was a fun trip.  Later, when we returned to San Miguel, we went to the park and played soccer with our new friends, Raúl, Francisco and Josué.
