cantar, fuimos a nuestras clases.
Estudiamos por dos horas.
Luego,
fuimos al mercado artesanal. Nuestra
pan dulce. Fue un día muy
divertido.

Wednesday
Today is the fifth day at Casa Carmen. We all woke at seven fifteen and got ready for
the day. We went to the dining room for
breakfast. We were familiar with all the
foods on the menu and what we wanted to order before getting to breakfast.
Then, we had thirty minutes before going to
school and in those thirty minutes we had left, many played chess or
cards. A popular card game that we play
is “spoons.” It is a fun game! We then went to school. We started with the songs, La Bamba and La cucaracha. After singing,
we went to our classes. We studied for
two hours. Then, we went to the market
where we saw many things. Our first time
at the market was overwhelming with all of the food, jewelry, and toys. It was difficult to find favorite stand. Some
of us brought pesos and knew what we wanted to buy. However, others did not bring money or knew
what to buy. The market was like a mall in Mexico. We all enjoyed the new experience! Tomorrow we will return to buy some of the things we saw today. When we finished, we returned to Casa Carmen to eat lunch. It was delicious! We ate “tostadas de pollo” and vegetable soup. As usual, we took a siesta for an hour and a half. During this time, we could do our homework, read or sleep. We returned to school to finish our paper maché dolls. To finish another great day, we ate dinner and then strolled around town. Some went to eat churros, while others went to buy “pan dulce” or ice-cream. It was a great day.
